Day Twenty-One

Left Sahagún today by train, skipping ahead 45km to Leon, a difficult but practical decision, since injuries of body and mind prevented both N. and I from setting one more foot on that meseta. We met two pilgrims from the original Orisson peregrino group and collectively treated ourselves to a kingly dinner. We’ll explore the city in the morning.

    1. Yeah. There was just nothing there for us, so it seemed like a waste of energy to suffer just for the sake of suffering. (Sorry, Santiago et al.) Was way more important to us to meet up with friends instead.
