Day Twenty-Three

These recent days are unlike the frantic and perilous rush of the beginning of the Camino, yet we make slow and certain progress. This morning, we crossed a 13th century bridge into Hospital de Órbigo, an historic town that even today perpetuates the medieval tradition of jousting. We remain in Astorga tonight, and tomorrow we enter the Montes de León. I’ll be glad of the change of scenery.
